English Rendezvous
Last
year, when I was at the first semester of my study in Semarang State University,
my department held an event called English Rendezvous for all freshmen in
English Department on one of the beautiful tourism place so called Gedong Songo.
We
gathered at ‘B3 park’ early in the morning to get the direction from the
committee before we leaving from our beloved campus to Gedong Songo, which was
the destination place of this event. There were five trucks to take us away to
get there and it spent about an hour for the trip.
Then
we arrived on Gedong Songo at 9 a.m. We were there for two days and a night to do
the series of events that has been arranged by the committee. The weather there
was very hot when it daylight, but there was very cold when it night, so that
matter was made our skin got burned because of the very hot sunshine. It was my
first experience that my skin got burned and I think it was very funny beside
it was very annoying.
After two days we were spent our time there to do all of the activities, such as games,
outbond, and introduce each of student.
Next, we returned to our campus by those five trucks. We were so tired at this
day, but also happy after all of the interesting experience.

Rendezvous was very useful event for the freshmen to know each other deeper
than before and also very useful for us to know and visit one of amazing
tourism place near us.
